Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online

If you’re using QuickBooks Desktop version is 2018 or older, use the QuickBooks Desktop file restoration tool to upgrade your Quickbooks company file. You can then move your company data to QuickBooks Online.

  • QuickBooks Desktop Pro or Premier

    Sign in as an admin to the company file you need to import.

    1. Go to File > Utilities, then select Copy Company file for QuickBooks Online
